On friday night you are invited to an unforgettable art extravaganza party! This night the confetti will be falling from the sky to cover the floor and the crowd. We transform Unni's historic boatworkshop into a gallery full of performance and installations, live music and secret rooms where you can unfold your own creativity.

'Do it' has become the longest-running and most far-reaching exhibition to ever take place. It began in 1993 and now consists as a compendium of 250 instructions made by world-renowned artists such as Yoko Ono, Marina Abramovic, Olafur Eliasson, Jérôme Bel and many more. The instructions are made by different artists for each exhibition and should not be attempted to be copied or refined, it is the individual expression of each artist being enhanced. Do it is curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist and invited through ICI to come to Sånafest 2018.

At Sånafest do it is presented as a pop-up museum of interactive art in Hølen, Son and along the river Såna. Throughout the festival you can take a walk along the art-trail, which is open all day and consists of sculptures, sound installations and instructions for you to try out. You can fetch a map in the do it - cabin at Hølen Torg.

do it is a kind of Catcher in the Rye for the curatorial world;
it is a transformative mandatory read that connects a blur of dots into a cohesive and inviting image of both the art universe and the universe of ideas
— Douglas Coupland, do it artist, 2013

Curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist(b. 1968, Zurich, Switzerland), the co-director of the Serpentine Galleries, London. Prior to this, he was the Curator of the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville, Paris. Since his first show “World Soup” (The Kitchen Show) in 1991 he has curated more than 250 shows.
